James Servoss has been an avid tennis player for as long as he can remember. What started as a way to bond with his grandparents has turned into a life long passion for the sport of tennis. After wrapping up a successful junior tennis career James attended a University that recently eliminated their men’s tennis team. This four year hiatus from competitive play replenished his love for the sport and has greatly added to the enjoyment he gets out of tennis today.

James has been teaching tennis since high school; however, it wasn’t until 2002 that he joined the USPTA, the governing body of tennis teaching professionals. The USPTA has provided James the opportunity to discuss and learn from the greatest tennis minds in the world. By picking and choosing the theories and teaching strategies he believes in combined with 10 + years of on court experience James has been able to develop his own unique tennis teaching philosophy. He believes above all else that a tennis lesson should be fun. A person learns better if they enjoy the subject matter being discussed. For a person to fully understand how to play tennis they must first learn to love the game.
